Lucille Tidwell Balentine was born September 11, 1922 in Lutts, TN the daughter of the late Clyde and Molly Eaton Tidwell.
Mrs. Balentine died Thursday, September 27, 2013 at Glenwood Healthcare in Florence at the age of 91 Years, 16 Days.
She was married to Vernice Balentine December 14, 1941. He preceded her in death October 20, 2008.
Mrs. Balentine, a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two sons, Vernice Junior Balentine and wife Judy of Collinwood, TN and Roger Dale Balentine and wife Leigh Ann of Lutts, TN, daughter, Joyce McFall and husband Leo of Florence, AL, and a sister-in-law, Christine Balentine of Summertown, TN, seven grandchildren, Jeff McFall, Tammy Ray, Daryle Balentine, Brad Balentine, Rhonda Phillips, Michelle Chambers, and Brittany Sharp, five great grandchildren, Josh McFall, Abby Ray, Ayden Chambers, Owen Chambers, and Emma Joy Bentley Balentine, two sisters, Pearl Dean and Fanny Jean Montgomery both of Florence, AL, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Balentine was preceded in death by a son, Larry Balentine, two great grandchildren, Dewayne Bowling and Sara Bowling, a brother, William Tidwell, and four sisters, Rodie Reaves, Venalla Dodd, Myrtle Reaves, and May Hinton.
Services will be Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Greg Eaton officiating.
Burial will follow in Balentine Cemetery near Lutts with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Jeff McFall, Daryle Balentine, Brad Balentine, Matthew Chambers, Wes Sharp, Billy Joe Dean, and Josh McFall.
