Mrs. Emily Brewer, 91, the widow of Herbert Brewer, and formerly of Millerton, died Saturday, August 1 at Noble Horizons in Salisbury after a long illness. Born in England, April 22, 1890, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Ann Tilbury. Mrs. Brewer came to the United States in 1926 from Chichester, England. She was a member of the Gnadensee Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Millerton, and was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sharon Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Alfred E. Brewer of Salisbury, George H. Brewer of Tallahassee, Fla., and William R. Brewer of Millerton; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a niece. Services were held Wednesday, August 5, at the Valentine Funeral Home, Millerton, with Rev. Paul Rhebergen, pastor of the Millerton Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Irondale Cemetery, Millerton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Millerton Ambulance Fund.
