Bio of Jane Herndon Todd (1829-1906)

Jane Herndon Hicks was the wife of Dr. David F. Todd (1809-1878); they had seven children; John (1852-1873), Beverly Hicks (1853-1935) , David F., Jr., (1854-1877), Robert Stuart (1856-1914), Willie Butler (1860-1866), Charles A. (1863-1938)and Mary Anna (1871-1871).

Jane was born 1829, in Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky, to Beverly Alsop Hicks (1794-1870) and Mary Colson Hicks (1796-1867). She had eight siblings; Mary Elizabeth Hicks (1817-1863), Martha Blanton Hicks Ellis (1820-1842), Edward Herndon Hicks (1823-1885), Alexander Campbell Hicks (1824-1892), Ellen Colson Ellis (1827-1852), Lucy Isabell Hicks Carter (1832-1893), Charles Beverly Hicks (1835-1913), and Evalina Augusta Hicks Erwin (1839-1864). Her family moved to Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky.
