Annie Cantrell, 76, of Salyesville, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Cener, Paintsville. Born Feb. 1, 1925, in Salyersville, she was a daughter of the late Lonzie and Virgie Penley Cantrell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Cantrell; four brothers, Raymond Cantrell, Sherman Cantrell, Wonnie Cantrell, and Henry Cantrell; and a sister, Thelma Tackett. Survivors include four daughters, Alice Tackett of Paintsville, and Barbara Meade, Margaret Barker, and Silvia Jones, all of Salyersville; six sisters, Hilda Salyers of Marion, Ohio, Betty Francis of Piketon, Ohio, Ruthie Crace, Mandy Meade, and Margaret Ward, all of Salyersville, and Mary Tackett of Royalton; two brothers, Paul Cantrell of Salyersville, and Franklin Dee Cantrell of Waverly, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Sunday, March 6 at Salyersville Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Patrick officiating. Burial was in Wheeler and Lemaster Cemetery, Salyersville, under direction of Salyersville Funeral Home.
