From Massachusetts they left and made their home in Dewitt, Clinton County, Iowa where William Nathanial was a successful farmer. Mary and her husband William also left West Brookfield, Essex County, Massachusetts to live with their married daughter: Harriett Arthur and family. They are listed in the 1850 & 1860 Federal Census for West Brookfield and in 1870 they are located in Iowa and living with their daughter, Harriett and family. Little is known about their son: William Arthur born in 1823 - he is listed on the Ship Manifest with his parents but not listed with them in the 1850 or 1860 Federal Census.
