Born in Barrow County, she was a daughter of the late P.R. Turnbull and the late Julia Stinchcomb Turnbull. A homemaker, she was married to the late James Rex Griffeth. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila Ann and Jimmy Hunt of Winder, Charlene and Mike Ray of Athens and Kathy Dockery of Winder; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry W. Turnbull of winder; and sister, Patsy Adams of Rutledge.
Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. in Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Benson Parker officiating. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
