Winnie is the daughter of William and Norabel (Bishop) Twombly, she graduated from Tilton-Northfield High School and worked at the New Hampshire Soldiers' Home in Tilton and later at the Belknap County Home in Laconia. She was a hospital volunteer and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the DAR, the Alton Garden Club and the Community Church of Alton.
Winnie was predeceased by four siblings; daughter, Cheryl and son Leonard; and husband, Donald.
She is survived by daughter Merlene Dunlop; sons, Thomas C. Alden and Michael E. Alden; two granddaughters, a grandson; two great-grandsons, nieces, nephews and friends.
