She died at her home on Keystone Avenue during the Spanish flu epidemic. Her husband, R.C. Brown, was the agent for the Wes Hill stage line in Miami, and proprietor of the soft drink establishment at the stage office. She was 40 years old, and a native of Georgia. She and R.C. were married in Texas (married 14 years), and had been in Miami for 5 years. They had two sons, ages 9 and 11.
