Timmonsville, S.C. - Genevieve Victoria Hatchell, 80, died Saturday, March 7, 2009.
Mrs. Hatchell was born in Connecticut, the daughter of the late Joseph and Almorinda deCOUTO Victoria. She was a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. Mrs. Hatchell was a Cafeteria Manager in the District # 1 School Systems before she retired.
Survivors are her husband George E. Hatchell, Sr of Timmonsville; one son, George E. "Buddy" Hatchell, Jr. and his wife, Sherry of Timmonsville; four brothers, Jimmy Victoria of Connecticut, Aldon Victoria of Naples, Fla., Tony Victoria of Holiday, Fla. and Gilbert Victoria of Rhode Island; four sisters, Mary Sylvia of Rhode Island, Laura Hadley of Florida, Annie Bender of Connecticut and Audrey Goff of California; and four grandchildren, Garrett and Kayla Hatchell and Christine and Austin Haughn.
Mrs. Hatchell is preceded in death by her daughter, Eunice Haughn.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. TODAY at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence, S.C. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
