Betty Wagner Frank, 90, of Drums, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Hazleton General Hospital.

Born in Hazleton, December 20, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Lewis J. and Elizabeth (Bicking) Wagner and spent most of her life in Drums.

She was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ, Hazleton.

Betty was a 1936 graduate of Hazleton High School and trained as an LPN at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Early in her life she was employed for 5 years as an LPN at the former Lutheran Home in the Altamont Building and later at St Luke Pavilion.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents are brothers, William Wagner, Walter A. "Chub" Wagner and Albert Wagner; and a sister, Gladys Cook.

Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Carey and her husband James of Allenwood, PA; 4 grandchildren; a dear friend, Carol Austin of Bloomsburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held January 9, 2009 in Hazleton's Vine Street Cemetery. Ron Schell, of Faith United Church of Christ, presided over the service and offered final prayers of committal.
