She was the daughter of the late Leo and Lillian Klein Wagner. Dorothy was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School. In her younger years she was employed by Bell Telephone.
Dorothy was a long time member of St. Boniface Church and it's Alter and Rosary Society in Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St. Andrew's Parish in Wilkes-Barre. Dorothy was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan. She loved bingo and trips to the casino.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Simon, in 2003, by her son, Richard Simon, in 2011; and by her brothers, Robert and Leo (Bud) Wagner.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Johns and her husband, Dr. James Johns, Mountain Top; grandson, Richard Simon and his wife, Jill, Plains Twp.; granddaughter, Petty Officer First Class Amy Simon of the United States Navy, Washington, D.C.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow in St. Andrew's Parish, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Twp.
