Paul L. Walker

Paul Lewis Walker, 68, of 2605 River Road, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 7, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A native of Buncombe County, he had resided in Greenville for the past 32 years and was a sales executive with Peterbilt Trucks of Greenville. Mr. Walker was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church and a member of Sam Poe Masonic Lodge. He was also a U.S. Naval Reserve veteran. Paul was a loving father and grandfather, and will be remembered by all that knew him as a giving, generous and caring man.

Mr. Walker was the son of the late Cline and Jessie Redmond Walker.

Surviving are his former wife, Kaye R. Walker, of Greenville; son, Barry P. Walker of Asheville; three daughters, Teri Rushing and husband, Bubba, of Boca Raton, Fla., Paula Walker of Greenville, and Carole Gorden and husband, Todd, of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Trent Quinn of Birmingham, Ala., and Isabel Gorden of Charlotte; and brother, Richard W. Walker of Asheville.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
