Eva's, along with her mother, Katharina and sister Elizabeth first went to Jefferson, Jefferson County, Wisconsin were Eva met Johan (John) Seuss. They were married on August 9, 1884 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Their first child, George John Seuss was born on February 6, 1885 and the young family then moved to South Bend, Indiana where they had six more children.
John and Eva moved to California in 1919, first going to San Diego for a few years and eventually moving to Los Angeles, where they lived until their deaths.

MRS. EVA SEUSS
Mrs. Eva Seuss, aged 82, of Los Angeles, California, and formerly of South Bend, died in a hospital in Los Angeles Wednesday as a result of a broken hip suffered two weeks ago. She went to Los Angeles 25 years ago from South Bend. Her husband, John, died in Los Angeles a year ago. Surviving are five sons, George, of South Bend; John, San Diego, and Martin, Chris and Edward, all of Los Angeles, and a daughter, Mrs Louise Moose, Los Angeles. Funeral services and burtial will be in Los Angeles.
