Wanda R. (Stonkus) Wardan, 82 of South Weymouth died March 21, 2012. Born in So. Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kondotas) Stonkus. Wanda lived in South Weymouth for over 50 years. Beloved wife of the late Francis Wardan, cherished sister of Yedviga Zaleski of Hanover and the late Bertha Gillis of Dorchester. Wanda is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was a legal secretary at Gillette for over 30 years. After retiring, she volunteered for many years at the Massachusetts Hospital School Swim with a Special Needs Child Program in Canton and at the South Shore Hospital in So. Weymouth. Wanda was also a member of Y.A.N.A. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53, in Hanover on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wandas memory can be made to Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360 or NVNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
