Joyce, 81, of Honolulu, Hawaii, died September 13, 2011.
She attended High School in Williamston, Ingham, MI. She attended Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, and taught school in Tecumseh, MI, Battle Creek, MI, and later in Honolulu, where she was a teacher and librarian.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Honolulu and was an avid bird watcher and took birding trips around the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Henrietta Warner, sister Carol Rector, brother-in-law, Theron and nephew, Dean Rector.
Surviving are her sister, Mary Ellen (Robert) Morris of Kent City, MI; nieces and nephews, Timothy Rector, Debra Isaac, Denise Bain and Dale Morris.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 19, at the First United Methodist Church of Honolulu, Honolulu, HI.
