Ida R. Benner Weber, 97, of the Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz, died Friday at the home following a brief illness. She formerly lived in Bergstrasse, near Ephrata.

Mrs. Weber was a homemaker, whose hobbies included quilting, crocheting, gardening and making chow-chow.

She was member of Ephrata Mennonite Church, where she had been active in the sewing circle.

She was the wife of Abel G. Weber, who died in 1990.

Mrs. Weber was born in Juniata County, the daughter of the late David and Sarah Graybill Benner.

Surviving are four stepsons; Lester, husband of Lydia Diener Weber of Reinholds; Richard, husband of Viola Stolzfus Weber of New Holland; Elvin, husband of Ruth Shue Weber of Ephrata, and John, husband of Arlene Miller Weber of Ephrata; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother, David Benner of Ronks.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; Banks, Joseph, Floyd, and Harmon Benner; and one sister, Mary Benner martin.
