Hilda S. Weber, of New Holland, died December 11, 2010. She was 70. Her husband, John M. Weber, died in 2009.

Born in York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Trattner) Sperling.

Hilda was a graduate of the William Penn Senior High School in York and also the York Junior College where she received her associate's degree.

She served as youth and senior adult director of the York Jewish Community Center and was also a former program director of the Lancaster Jewish Community Center.

Hilda retired from the Pequea Valley School District as a Title 1 Math Aide. Her past volunteer activities include United Way district chairperson, publicity chairperson for the New Holland Women's Club, and past news letter editor for the YWCA.

Before her illness she was an avid Gardner and also enjoyed the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Mark Krug of Lancaster, and Eric, married to Tina (Colborn) Krug of Birdsboro; a stepson, Steven, married to Linda Weber of Denver; a stepdaughter, Connie, married to Barry Strauss of Norwich, CT; three grandchildren, Kevin, Samantha, and Zachary, children of Eric and Tina Krug; four step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

Preceding her in death is a sister, Rosalind Feld.

Interment: Memory Gardens, Ephrata.
