J. Bernice "Barney" Avery, 76, of East Stroudsburg died Tuesday, Oct. 21, at home.
She was a bus driver for the East Stroudsburg School District for 25 years before retiring in 1992. Previously, she worked for the Delaware Valley Busing and as a bus driver for the Stroudsburg School District for five years.
Born in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of B.E. Weber of East Stroudsburg and the late Mabel (Turner) Weber.
She was a member of East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors: Father; daughter, Linda G. Miller of East Stroudsburg; friend, Kenneth R. Avery of Stroudsburg, and a grandson.
