In 1920 she and her husband and their six children lived on a farm they were renting in Perry Township, Lawrence County, PA. Also living with them were two of Edward's nephews: John N Barker, age 14, and Carmont W Barker, age 11. John worked on the farm.
In 1930 she and Edward and their six youngest children lived on a farm in Slippery Rock Township in the same county. They owned their home, and they had a radio.
She died from a hemorrhage into her uterus due to a detached placenta; contributory cause was premature labor.
