Bernice M. Baker, 81, of Milan, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at her home. Services for Mrs. Baker will be 10:30 am, Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Bernice was born on March 3, 1931 in Rock Island, a daughter of Walter Sr., and Emma (Arp) Webster. She married Kenneth D. Baker on March 3, 1951 in Trenton, Missouri. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, needle point, cooking, baking and taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Kenneth; children, Michael (Joy) Baker, Dubuque, Rick (Angela) Baker, Moline, Linda (Michael) Mumm, Davenport and Tammy (Dan) Hauf, Goldsboro, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; siblings, Ray Webster, Milan, Mary (Gerald) Baker, Davenport, Donna (Jim) Nelson, Dallas, Texas and Helen Bottoni, Silvis. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, George Webster, Betty Luckenbihl, Johnny Webster and Walter Webster Jr.
