Obituary for Carolyn L. Barr
Carolyn L. Barr, 55, of Salem, passed away at 4:13 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born August 11, 1960, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Patricia (Heitzman) Webster. She married Richard Barr, and he preceded her in death in 1991. She then spent 20 years with her significant other, Frank Johnson, and he survives.
She graduated from Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, Illinois, and attended Donoho Prairie Christian Church. She worked in the cafeteria at Salem Community High School, and she loved reading.
In addition to her significant other, Frank, she is survived by her parents, Thomas and Patricia; children, Richard, Christinas, Timothy, and Emily; step-children, Amanda, Bradley, and Shannon; eight grandchildren, two brothers, Michael, and Thomas and two sisters, Catherine, and Sue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Barr, and one sister, Patricia Rose.
Funeral Services for Ms. Barr will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Osborn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Donoho Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
