Mrs. Julia W. Benedict, widow of Cameron C. Benedict, died in Rochester, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1937. She is survived by a son, Cameron C.; two grandchildren, Cameron Robert and Marjorie, all of Elmira. A prayer service will be held in Rochester Friday at 10 a.m. in the Brick Presbyterian Church, Rochester. Burial in Mt. Adnah Cemetery in Fulton Friday at 2 p.m.

Cameron Benedict and Miss Julia Weed will be married today at the bride's home in Mexico. The bride is the daughter of the late Rev. T.M. Weed. Mr. Benedict, who is a young man of sterling qualities and universally respected, is now at the head of a flourishing manufactory in this village. The marriage will be witnessed by numerous friends from easter and western cities, together with home friends.
Gardner Benedict, of Clinton, came last night to witness the marriage of his nephew.

Mrs. Julia Weed Benedict, former Scottsville woman, died in Rochester Wednesday, Jan 20.
She was born in Mexico, Oswego County, about 78 years ago, daughter of the late Rev. Thomas Allen and Lydia (Matthews) Weed of that place, where her father was pastor of the Presbyterian Church for 23 years. In 1870 Rev. Weed accepted a call to "the First Presbyterian Society in the Town of Wheatland," at Scottsville, where he was the beloved pastor until his death in 1882. in this village Mrs. Benedict grew to womanhood and after the death of her father, with her mother, returned to Mexico to reside.
There she married Cameron Benedict, a business man of Futon, who died a few years ago. Recently she has made her home in Rochester and was the last survivor of a family of five sons and one daughter.
Mrs. Benedict leaves on son Cameron C. Benedict and two grandchildren of Elmira.
