Judy Marie (Weier) Cockeram, age 63, of Menomonie, Wis., died Monday, January 3, 2005, at Myrtle Werth Hospital-Mayo Health Systems in Menomonie.

Judy Marie Weier was born December 24, 1941, to Arnold and Adeline (Score) Weier. She married Harry Cockeram Jr. on November 14, 1959, in Wisconsin Rapids. They lived in Wisconsin Rapids for many years while Harry worked at the Baren Paper Company. In later years they moved back to Menomonie to join Harry’s father, Harry Cockeram Sr., in the shoe repair business. Judy also worked there; and they eventually bought the business when Harry Sr. retired in 1977. In 1985, Harry Jr. passed away. Judy has worked in daycare since then, becoming endeared to many children through the years. Judy also loved her grandchildren dearly, enjoyed family get-togethers and going to thrift sales. Judy will be sadly missed by her family and friends and by her many daycare children throughout the years.

Judy is survived by two daughters and two sons, Kathy (John) Seever of Chetek, Sherry (Karl) Herdt of Menomonie, Darren (LuAnn) Cockeram of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Tyrone (Melissa) Cockeram of Colfax; grandsons, Jordan Cockeram of Fridley, Minn., John Allen Seever of Chetek, Tracen and Tanner Cockeram of Colfax and Kolten Herdt of Menomonie; her father, Arnold Weier of Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, both of Wisconsin Rapids, Roland (Carol) Weier and Larry Weier; father-in-law, Harry Cockeram Sr. of Menomonie; three sisters-in-law all of Menomonie, Marge Oberle, Judy (Tom) Peterson and Cindy (Tom) Miller; two brothers-in-law, Richard Cockeram of Eau Claire and Gerald (Lynda) Cockeram of Menomonie; many nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends.
