Dodgeville - Jo Anne M (Joanie) Meuer, age 66 of Dodgeville, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008. She was born July 11, 1941, a daughter of Leo and Jeannette (Williams) Weier. She graduated from Hollandale High School and then went on to become a Nursing Assistant and worked at the Dodgeville Hospital. On August 12, 1961 she married the love of her life, Norbert Meuer, Jr. They lived in the Dodgeville area most of their lives where they raised their three sons. Her family always came first. She touched many people through her life, sharing her love and kindness and everyone who knew her feels very fortunate to have had her in their lives.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Norbert, of Dodgeville; her sons, Ronald (Penny) Meuer, of Delavan, Brian (Jonna) Meuer, of Alamosa, CO, and Joel (Jeni) Meuer, of Dodgeville; her grandchildren, Justin, Seth, and Odessa; her brothers, James (Ilene) Weier and Tom (Evelyn) Weier, both of Hollandale, Gary Weier, of New London; a sister, Marcia (Joe) Nachreiner, of Plain; brothers-in-law, Bill (Lois) Meuer, of Fitchburg and Don (Carolyn) Meuer of Dodgeville; sisters-in-law, JoAnn (Dick) Hugill, of Cobb and June (Jim) Paynter, of New Glarus and many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Jeannette; her brothers, Donald and Raymond; her nephew, Toby.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jo Ann Meyer will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Mgsr. Delbert Schmelzer will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.
