Billy Welch, 83, died Monday, December 28, 2009, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation was held 5pm-8pm Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 2 pm today at Gallman Baptist Church with burial in Gallman Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mr. Welch was a member of Gallman Baptist Church and was a mason.
He is survived by wife, Earline Welch; son, Tony Welch and wife, Norma of Gallman; daughters, Patti Hemphill and husband Tony of Hazlehurst and Cindy Barnes of Gallman; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Mr. Welch was preceded in death by a son, Billy Roger Welch.
