Funeral services for Mabel M. Crabb, 92, of Howard, Colo., formerly of the Knoxville area, who died on Saturday, October 28, 2000, at her home in Howard, Colo., were held on Wednesday, November 1, at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville. Rev. Craig Bex officiated at the services. Music was provided by Darlene Mooberry, organist and Sue King, vocalist.
Interment was at Lincoln Cemetery in Marion County. Casketbearers were David, Galen, and Roger Harvey, Duane Jones, Jay King and Ron Vinson.
Mabel was born on August 29, 1908, in Dallas, the daughter of Myrtle Morkert and Ora O. Welch. She was one of four children in the family. She graduated from the Dallas High School.
She married Paul Crabb on March 31, 1929. To this union one daughter was born.
Mabel devoted her life to caring for her family as a full time homemaker. Mabel and Paul had moved to Howard, Colo. about 4 1/5 years ago to live near their daughter.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Crabb of Howard, Colo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Ted Harvey of Howard, Colo.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren as well as other friends and relatives...
