Dorothy Edna Bates, 57, of Ovett, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial in Welch Cemetery in Jones County. Revs. Mike Thompson and Roger Pruitt will officiate.
She was a Baptist and co-owner of Kenny Bates Roofing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Welch.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny Ray Bates of Ovett; a son, Keith Bates and his wife, Shay, of Moss, Miss.; a daughter, Michelle Ishee and her husband, Ben, of Ovett; mother, Mamie Welch of the Gitano Community; sister, June Gibson of Union; four grandchildren, Rachel Ishee and Carley Ishee; Madison Bates and Mason Bates.
