Rita was the daughter of Margaret and Harry Welch and lived in Millville for most of her life. More recently she was a resident of Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center in Marvon, Pa. Rita worked for Wheaton Glass Company for many years before retirement in 1982. She was a very active lifetime member of St Paul's Lutheran Church and a long time member of the Millville Woman's Club.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harry and husbands, Charles Kandle Jr. and Watson Dean, to whom she was married for over 42 years. Rita is survived by a son, Robert H. Kandle and wife, Peggy of Elverson, Pa.; grandsons, Robert C. Kandle and wife, Tracy of Collegeville, Pa., and Dean E. Kandle and wife, Jennifer of Phoenixville, Pa.; great-grandchildren Macy, Logan and Owen Kandle; and step-daughters, Barbara Ray and Susan Feder of Vineland; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the St Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at the ROCAP SHANNON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME at the church.
