In Memory of Susan Wells Armstrong
Wife of James Armstrong (Trooper)
Who died of cholera in Nashville
29th May 1833
She was a native of Maryland
But lived for a number of days here
In Nashville and died while on a visit
To her son Gen. Robert Armstrong

Her departure was sudden
And her death was lamented
By friends and relatives
A member of the Presbyterian Church
She died in the full hope of
Happy Immortality
