Renate Gordon, age 77, of Princeton, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas.

She was born August 17, 1939, in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter of Willie and Barbara Werle.

Renate grew up in Germany where she met and married Dale Gordon on January 4, 1961. This union was blessed with six children. She made her citizenship in the early 1970's. Renate was a Certified Nurse's Aide and worked at Cedarhouse Nursing Home and Crestview Nursing Home, both in Ottawa, Kansas.

Her daughter, Cindy was her caregiver for many years. Renate enjoyed watching WWE SmackDown and Judge Judy. Her greatest passion was her family, enjoying spending time with them. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her dogs, Lucky, Heidi, Molly and Maggie. Renate also enjoyed dancing Polka until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jessie Ray Gordon.

Renate is survived by her husband of the home; 3 sons and 3 daughters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Garnett, with burial following at Garnett Cemetery. The family will meet friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
