Mrs. Minnie Garrison, widow of the late A. E. Garrison, died at her home, 335 West 14th Street, N. Y. C. after a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Peekskill until moving from this city about 1927.
Mrs. Garrison, the former Miss Wessells, married A. Ellsworth Garrison on January 11, 1884 and had two children, Lewis W. and Halsey Garrison.
While living in Peekskill Mrs. Garrison was very active in the Ladies Aid Society of St. Paul's Methodist Church, and at one time her husband was president of the Board of Trustees of the Church.
Mr. Garrison was also a director of the Peekskill Co-operative Building, Savings and Loan Association
and a member of the Peekskill Business Men's Club and the Danderberg Club of Lake Oscawana. He
was also a member of the Cortlandt Hook and Ladder Co, No. 1.
Mr. and Mrs. Garrison were among the first to own automobiles in Peekskill.
Besides her sons, Mrs. Garrison leaves no survivors.
Services for Mrs. Garrison will be held at Ulm Bros. Chapel on Thursday, April 24, 1947, at 2 P. M. with the Rev. James McKiernan, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may can after 12:30 P. M. Thursday.
