Martha Lent, widow of the late William Henry Lent, died at her home, in Asbury Park, on Sunday afternoon last, after a six months illness of heart trouble. Her sufferings were intense but she bore them with christian fortitude and without a murmur.
Mrs. Lent was the last remaining sister of Messrs. Evart A. and Paul Wessells, of Peekskill, and was born in this town 72 years ago, and was long a resident here, residing near Montrose. A dozen years or so ago the family removed to Asbury Park and have since resided there. She leaves a son and three daughters. The remains were brought on and funeral services held at the Reformed church, at Montrose, on Wednesday afternoon last. Rev. Alfred Coons, of the First M. E. church, officiated. The interment was in the family plot in the cemetery adjoining the church
