Mrs. Ida Baker, 71, a former local resident, died Saturday in a Detroit hospital following an illness. She was born in Rome Township Oct. 24, 1870 and lived in Battle Creek for many years.
Surviving are two sons, Fred Howard of Battle Creek and Harland Howard of Shreveport, La.; a daughter, Mrs. William Bandlin of Detroit; a sister Mrs. Alveretta Olmstead of Adrian and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Hebble Chapel with the Rev. Carleton Brooks Miller in charge. Burial will be in Reese Cemetery.
