Shirley W. Brigham, 86, a life long Memphian, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010.

She attended Fairview Jr. High, Tech High School and Teacher's College (now University of Memphis).

Her work history included the War Production Board during WW II, Wallace Johnson Appliances Company, where she met her future husband , Charles D. Brigham, Jr.

When Mr. Brigham formed his own real estate appraisal business, Mrs. Brigham became his office manager. She held this position until the death of her husband in 1986.

Mrs. Brigham was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles and a son, Charles Donald Brigham.

Shirley is survived by her son, Terry Brigham (Carolyn) of Germantown; daughter, Diane McCord of Germantown; three grandchildren, Lindsay Brigham of Germantown, Derek Ginn (Genny) of Jackson, MS, Robin Bloodworth of Memphis and two great-grandchildren, Miller and Hazel Ginn of Jackson, MS.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
