Mrs. LaVona Wilbur, age 80, a resident of Delphi until two years ago, died on Monday, June 24, in Los Angeles, California, relatives of the woman have been informed here. Mrs. Wilbur, who was the Widow of Rev. T. B. Wilbur, had gone to California two years ago to make her home with a son, Joyce. From details received here by a nephew, Judge William B. Smith, it was learned that Mrs. Wilibur had suffered a hearts attack about two weeks prior to her death and she failed to rally from the illness. She was born in Waynetown, Indiana, and had been active in the local Methodist church for many years prior to moving to California. Her husband was a Methodist minister and the family resided in the residence on Front street now occupied by the American Legion club. Rev. Wilbur died 20 years ago. Surviving are two sons, Joyce, of Los Angeles and Ralston of Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral rites and burial were at Forrest Lawn cemetery, Los Angeles, last Thursday.
