Terry Carmichael, 57, of 728 Heath Court in Westmont, Illinois and formerly of Iowa City, died Monday, April 21, 2003 in her home from ovarian cancer.
Services will be held Thursday at Lensing's Oak Hill in Coralville. Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Memorials may be directed to St. Thomas Hospice, Burr Ridge, Illinois, 60521.
Terry was born June 5, 1945, the daughter of Ray & Adeline Tomas Williams. She grew up in Iowa City and graduated from Iowa City High School in 1963. She graduated from St. Lukes School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids.
Terry worked at hospitals in Miami Beach, University of Iowa Hospitals and Mercy Hospital, both in Iowa City, as a school nurse in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and most recently had been working as a registered nurse in a allergy clinic in Seattle, Washington.
She married Doug Carmichael on November 12, 1968, in Iowa City.
Survivors include her husband Doug of Westmont, Illinois, a son Tim of Northampton, Massachusetts, a daughter Chris Carmichael of Madison, Wisconsin; her father Ray Williams and his wife Linda of Iowa City; sister, Connie Williams of Davenport, Iowa; sister-in law Jane Priante and her husband Joe of Marquette, Michigan; sister in law, Mari Horras & her husband Leland & their children Kristine and Michael of Keota, Iowa and mother-in-law, Marcia Carmichael of Mission, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her father-in-law, V.A. Carmichael of Sigourney.
