Betty L. Deal, 77, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19th at 10:30 am in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with the Rev. James Chesnutt, officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include sons, Herbert Deal and his wife Lori; and Mike Deal and his wife Lynette both of Fort Dodge; daughters, Cindy Kelly and her husband Mike; Susan Nelson; Julie Alexander and her husband Brad; all of Fort Dodge; Belinda Deal of Urbandale; Mickey Deal and Melanie Standberg and her husband Ben; both of Fort Dodge; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a brother Harold R. Williams of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lottie (Hill) Williams; husband, Herbert in 1984; son-in-law, James Nelson; twin brother, Bill Williams; brothers, George and Junior Williams; and his sisters, Ardella and Fern Hill.
Betty L. Williams was born on May 8, 1934, in Iowa City, Iowa. In 1957, Betty was united in marriage to Herbert Deal in Blue Earth Minnesota. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Betty worked at various restaurants in Fort Dodge, including Dirty Nellie's Deli and Community Pizza.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
