Campobello
Pearl Wofford Calvert, 98, formerly of Campobello died October 27, 2009, at Magnolia Manor in Inman. She was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Turner Wofford and the wife of the late Boyce Lee Calvert.
She was the oldest member of Fairview Baptist Church and retired from Roses Department Store after 20 years of service.
She is survived by three daughters, Doris Hagy (Bob) of Augusta, GA, Joan Coomer (Jim) of Temple Hill, KY, Reba Buckner (Danny) of Campobello, SC; ten grandchildren, Robert, Walter, Donald, Tim and Chris Hagy of Augusta, GA, Richard Hagy of Pittsburg, PA, Sharon Coomer Mattingly, James and Jeff Coomer of Temple Hill, Ky and Raleigh (R.L.) Buckner of Simpsonville, SC; eighteen great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arnetta Herrington (Jimmy) of Durham, NC and Carrie Ponder (Gene) of Martinez, GA.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Floyd, G.C., Paul Earl Wofford; three sisters, Annie D. Becknell, Margaret Brown, Beulah Howard; two grandsons, Boyce and Patrick Buckner.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am - 1:00pm Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral chapel conducted by Rev. Chuck Mullinax. Burial will be at 3:00pm at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
