Mary Woody Christian, 99, 0f Loudon, born October 4, 1917 in the Paint Rock Community, went to be with the Lord November 20, 2016.

She was a member of Stockton Valley Baptist Church, where she and her husband attended many years. She was a member of the Paint Rock Chapter of the Eastern Star. She worked for the Ed Watkins Store and Duncan’s Department Store in Loudon.

Preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, John and Elizabeth Miller Woody; sisters, Robbie Bostic, Frankie Wood and Eva Bagwell; brothers, George Woody and J. C. Woody.

Survived by sons, Jim and Barbara, of Lenoir City and Doug, of Loudon; grandchildren, Brooke Carroll and John Christian; great grandchildren, Blake Hill and Ava Carroll; sisters, Ruth (Russell) Miller, of Spring Hill and Tika Bright, of Loudon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 7:00 pm Tuesday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Adam Cook officiating. Graveside service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Loudon County Memorial Gardens, with Dwight Woody officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, prior to the funeral.

Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
