Found in The State 02 September 1923: Mrs. Lizzie Ingle, wife of J. W. Ingle, an overseer in the cording department at the Loray mills, Gastonia, N. C., and a former resident of New Brookland, died in her home at Gastonia yesterday morning at 1:57 o'clock. Mrs Ingle was stricken with paralysis eight days ago, and was never able to utter a word after that time. She was a woman of many fine traits of character, and had many friends both in South Carolina and North Carolina. She was born January 14, 1877. The funeral services will be held in the Baptist church at New Brookland at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery at 4 o'clock. By Mrs. Ingle's own request the Rev. L. T. Carroll, former pastor of the New Brookland church, of which she was a member, will conduct the funeral services. Besides her husband, Mrs. Ingle is survived by her mother, Mrs. Jane H. Wright of New Brookland; two daughters, Mrs. D. G. Floyd, Gastonia, and Mrs. Barney Enloe, Winnsboro; four sons, O. C. Ingle of the state highway department, Orangeburg; W. M. Ingle, a mechanic of Gastonia; Harry Ingle, 12, and J. W. Ingle, Jr., 14, both of Gastonia; three brothers, Arthur Wright and Samuel Wright of New Brookland, and R. W. Wright, 319 Blanding street, Columbia, and two sisters, Mrs. Alice McLaughlin, Augusta, and Mrs. Essie Earhart, New Brookland.
