JEMEZ SPRINGS, N.M. – Lenora Yarborough Alsbrook, 55, wife of Lynn Coleman Alsbrook, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Los Alamos Medical Center.
Born Sept. 25, 1952, in Kingstree, she was a daughter of R.L. Yarborough of Nesmith and Vera Christmas Yarbrough of Rio Rancho, N.M. She was a former protocol officer for the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Lamar Coleman "Cole" (Alma) Alsbrook of Jemez Springs; a sister, Marilyn Yarborough Gurule of Jemez Springs; a brother, the Rev. Roland Yarborough of Douglasville, Ga.; and a grandson, William Coleman Alsbrook of Jemez Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Revs. John A. Christmas and Lamar Christmas officiating. Burial will follow in the Jordon United Methodist Church cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory, 304 N. Church St., Manning, is in charge of arrangements,
