Grand Duchess Jeannette Prokofieff Romanov Yarborough, daughter of Leona Victoria Ackerman and Grand Duke Victor Maxim Prokofieff Romanov who was the son of Czar Alexander, II of Russia and Dr. Marie Vereschagen Prokofieff, died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at her residence. She was the widow of Walter Dance Yarborough, Sr. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Leona Y. and Michael Hawkins of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Trey Whitman and Cara, Dakota and Cheyenne Hawkins; two sisters, June P. Hawkins of Alexandria, VA and Camilla P. Burkette of Florida; a nephew, Robert T. Jones, Jr. of Richmond and three great-nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the Petersburg Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 South Crater Road. Father Robert Spencer will officiate. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
