JOHN M. ZUK, 69 DAVIS - John M. Zuk, 69, of Davis died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, in his home. Born Nov. 22, 1940, in Chicago, the son of John S. and Irene (Kowalski) Zuk. On Feb. 24, 1968, he married Beverly C. Appa; she died in August 2009. John worked for Fermilab in Batavia, retiring in the spring of 2007. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Survived by mother, Irene Zuk of St. Charles; sons, Christopher Zuk of Henderson, Nev., and Jonathan (Jennifer) Zuk of Middleton, Wis.; brothers, Peter (Georgine) Zuk of St. Charles and James Zuk of Palatine; and two grandchildren. Predeceased also by his father. Memorial service and burial with military honors at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Cremation rites have been accorded.
