Funeral Services to be Held Tomorrow from Church of God

Mrs. Bertha Beard, 727 West Sixth street, died yesterday afternoon at 4:10 o'clock, after an illness of more than a year. She was a daughter of Levi and Harriet Litherland Couch and was born in Wabash county, July 6, 1867, being at the time of her death aged 71 years, two months, and 28 days. She was married to Harrison S. Beard in Lawrence county October 28, 1885. Surviving are her husband, four children, Omer A. Beard, Peoria, Ill.; Otus L. Beard, Mount Carmel; Mrs. Lula Raber, Browns; and Raymond Beard, Mt.Carmel; also by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. W. C. Michael, Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Stewart, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. John Davis, Bonnie, Ill.
Mrs. Beard was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be held from that church, Thursday afternoon, October 6, at 2:00 o'clock, in charge of Rev. H. O. McDonough. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Omit flowers by request of deceased.
