Services for Harry Edvin Clodius, 81, are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Ritzville. Burial will be at a later time at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Clodius, who was born in Ritzville died Thursday. He was a graduate from Ritzville High School and attended Eastern Washington College for a year before he married Mae Bell Seely in Colville, Wash. The couple lived in Chewelah, Wash., and Mr. Clodius worked in construction for Northwesst Magnesite Co. In 1946, they moved to Wenatchee, where he continued to work in construction and later moved to Omak, Wash, where he worked for Armstrong Construction.
They moved to Ritzville in 1952 and started Harry Clodius Construction Co., which they operated until 1987. His son, Terry, then took over the operation. Mr. Clodius was a member of Ritzville Trinity United Methodist Church, Zenith Chapter 55 of the Order of the Eastern Starr and the Ritzville Masonic Lodge 101.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son; two sisters, Leona Beier of Salem Oregon and Lois Whitworth of Fulton, Calif., nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
