Lovead T. Dean - Died Ironton, last Saturday with symptoms of paralysis. He was born in Taunton, Mass., Sept. 06, 1820 and was 74 years old. Came to Ironton in 1863 in association with the Norton Brothers, bought the Star Mill and changed its name to Belfont, and became the Vice President of the company and manager of the mill. He lived in Ironton 31 years. He leaves to mourn for him, a devoted wife and four loving children: Mrs. Lot Davis, Mrs. S. G. Gilfillan, Miss Ruth Dean and Mr. Charles Dean, four children had gone before. Interment at Woodland.
