Born in San Francisco, Jo-Ann and her parents moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1946. She lived in Michigan with her parents and her younger sister until 1957 when they moved to southern California. This began her love affair with sunny beaches & warm weather. She attended Newport Beach Harbor High School and graduated in 1962. She married in 1963 and she & her husband had three children. After a few years in the pacific northwest, the family moved to Texas in 1972 where she lived until her death. She loved being a grandmother. She was fortunate enough to live close to two of her grandchildren and was able to pass on many of her special qualities to them. She was passionate about genealogy and was able to research her family all the way back to The Mayflower. She had a love of cooking, decorating and had a very creative spirit. She found comfort in attending Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in her last year of life. It was here that her faith was strengthened and helped her through her illness. She is much loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

MOTHER
To one who bears the sweetest name
And adds a luster to the same
Who shares my joys
Who cheers when sad
The greatest friend I ever had
Long life to her for there's no other
Can take the place of my Dear Mother.
