JACK WALDRON DEAD.

Well Known Resident of Winona Dies at that Place on Sunday Last.

Advices from Winona announce the death of John Waldron, proprietor of the Merchants hotel and one of the well known residents of that place. The deceased was well known along the Missouri river, and was a frequent visitor to Bismarck where he had many acquaintances. The cause of his death is not stated in the advices received, but it is stated that it resulted from blood poisoning, resulting from the piercing of his foot with a pin or needle, some time ago.

Funeral services were held at the hotel last evening at 6 o’clock. The remains left Winona this morning to be brought to Bismarck, where they are expected to arrive at about noon Wednesday. The remains will be immediately interred in the Catholic cemetery without further service. Friends and acquaintances of the deceased are invited to attend the burial services.

The deceased was an old resident of the slope, and was a son of Mrs. Ellen Waldron, who was one of the victims of the Spicer murder several years ago.
