Ellsler was a stage actress in the 1880's and more recently a character actress in films. Her father, John A. Ellsler, built the Euclid Avenue Opera House in Cleveland. Ellsler appeared on
the Broadway stage and was closely associated with the Daniel Frohman management. She died from a heart attack leaving no immediate survivors.
