A veteran of 89 films, his credits included "Head Winds" (1925), "Alice in Wonderland" (1933), "The Gay Divorcee" (1934), "Dr. Rhythm" (1938), "Batman" (1943) and "The Ghost Goes Wild" (1947). He was also the brother of actor Albert Austin.
